Flowers in 2008 -- not a lot this year

This year was not so spectular -- the heat shortened the life of the flowers, they wilted very quickly; every thing was early! Also, I have photos of most of my flowers, and more of the same is not really interesting. I do have however some new flowers and these are wonderul. A marine colored iris, several P. tenuifolia, P. delavayii and P. mlokosewitschii to name them. These all flower earlier than the usual peonies. We took a one day trip to a village near Halle where I bought the new plants last fall. This was a nice outing.

The assortment

This one is my front garden, I have two plants.	A romantic road near Halle	The tiny plant had two fully developed flowers	the white princess, it had leaves in Feb. and I was worried.
marine Iris. This photo has somehow depth, and it is plastic	Yellow Iris in a botan vase	P.mlokosewitschii - growing next to our pond.	This also flowered for a long time.
The Ezra Pound had two blooms and this is only a two year old plant!	I was excited to get these plants and surprised to learn how early they flower.	The first year! and it is at least 4 years old!	See previous
