My grandmother (actually, my father's step mother) passed away in the summer of 1965, and at the time of the funeral, I was in the midst of final exams in Ann Arbor. I thus could not attend. I was at least decent enough to write him a letter of condolance. Here is his answer to my letter. He never finished the story mentined at the end!

My Dad was very interested that we not be bothered with funerals etc. To this end he had a discussion with Leo Coney. There is something typical about this letter, I think.
